About Moonstone Behavioral Health
Empowering authentic living by providing compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed care.
Approach
I specialize in virtual, trauma-informed therapy for adults, grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for your experiences. Therapy is your space: you set the pace, share what you choose, and define your goals. There's no pressure to "get it right.” We'll find what works for you!
I am particularly passionate about supporting:
Neurodivergent adults
LGBTQIA+ folx
Healthcare and STEM professionals
First responders
Trauma-affected individuals
Values
Co-creating Safety: I believe in establishing a therapeutic relationship built on trust and understanding, where you feel seen, heard, and empowered.
Undoing Aloneness: I understand how trauma and marginalization affect you and aim to help you reconnect with your true self. Whether it's anxiety, trauma, or daily challenges of being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world, your feelings are valid. Together, we’ll develop tools for self-awareness and connection.
Person-in-Environment Perspective: I understand how your environment shapes your experiences and will work with you to address systemic factors that affect your well-being.
Real Change, Real Support: I draw on modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP) to develop practical, tailored strategies.
Your Story Matters
You deserve to feel understood, supported, and empowered to live authentically. Healing and growth are possible for everyone, and I am deeply committed to the resilience of the human spirit. Whether you're ready to reach out now or just exploring your options, know that your timing is perfect. There is no "right" way to start therapy. Taking this moment to consider therapy already shows courage and reverence for self. Whenever you're ready, I’m here to support you. Your journey to this point matters, just as every step forward does.
About Justin (He/They)
As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over a decade in the field, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to our work together. Being queer and neurodivergent has taught me the importance of creating spaces where others can feel seen and accepted.
